2005 Harley Twin Cam Softail Bobber
"DocFlo" from Berlin, Germany, sent us these pictures of his very pretty 2005 Harley Twin Cam 88 Softail Springer Bobber that was built by Tony and Tino Hitzel from HT-Customizing in Berlin. DocFlo initially referred to his retro Twin Cam Bobber as the "64", but right now she is also affectionally named "Luzie".
DocFlo: "The engine is a 2005 Twin Cam 88 and the frame is a 2006 softail frame with a springer front, all black powder coated. The exhaust is a BSL 2 in 1 with a nice little detail - it has a screw at the rear end to turn it loud or louder - very nice sound ! (And sometimes very helpful with the German police)."
DocFlo: "The front wheel is a 16" with a 150/80 tire, the rear wheel is also 16" but with a 200/60 tire, both rims go with 60 stainless steel spokes.
The rear fender and the cover underneath the saddle are hand made from steel (build to last).
First there was a nice small front fender in the same design but I decided to take it off - now she looks more original."
Classic Flathead / Knucklehead Design Lines
Note the beautiful Flathead
/ Knucklehead
design lines of this Softail Bobber.
This type of saddle with the rear fender ridin' just above the rear tire really does the trick.
Tony and Tino prove they understand the original intentions of the Softail concept.
DocFlo: "64 is the year I was born. On the bike it's a reminder of the old race numbers (or do you say starting number ?).
Hadn't had a name for the bike till 3 days ago when I was taking a walk with my daughter and now she's called Luzie.
Actually it's my daughters second forename and because we like the name a lot she and I decided to call he so. That's it."
DocFlo: "Those handle bars are the widest and thickest beach bars Tony and Tino could get a hold of."
This sure ain't no lane splitter!

Custom Bobber Racing Paint
DocFlo: "The paint is also custom (hand made rallye flag like) and the "64" is pinstriped by hand."
Get That Smile Off Your Face!
The man himself!
DocFlo: "It's getting a little cold outside here in Berlin in October, but still riding!"
Fat ass, that's it!
